More info about the Studio
Here at Tribeca, we want to make everything outside the studio easy for you. Inside the studio, well, we’ll leave that to our fabulous instructors. On your first visit, please pop by the Smoothie Bar to collect your RFID band from a member of staff. Your band will be used to access lockers, purchase goodies from the vending machines, and to check-in to class.
Sign-in sheets? No thank you! We like to save trees. Just tap your RFID band to the sensor at the studio door to check-in to your class – just like riding the tube, equally as sweaty at times but we like to think more enjoyable and with a little more personal space.
Your stuff is safe! Our lockers are RFID enabled, so no need to bring a lock or a watch dog (though we do love puppies). Just ask a member of staff if you need any help – or read the handy directions on the inside of each locker. It’s as simple as tapping your band to the sensor to lock, and tapping your band again to re-open it. The locker will only allow you to open it once you’ve locked it – no other bands will work. Pretty nifty, ey?
Smoothies & snacks
We offer a variety of recovery shakes freshly made and ready for you as soon as your class is done. Just write your order down when you arrive at the studio, and we'll charge it directly to your account. Our vending machine is stocked with a variety of delicious bars & treats to keep you going and drinks to keeps you hydrated. Your RFID band is used to purchase all the goodies from the vending machine. No cash, no cards, just your Tribeca band. Easy.
Hydration is key! We have filtered water available for you to top up your own bottles. You’ll also be able to purchase water in the vending machine too.
Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before your class starts. Allow yourself plenty of time to drop your stuff off at the locker, order a shake, high five a staff member, and tap into the sensor at the studio door. It’s so much easier to not have to rush (and frankly life’s more fun when you can spare a few minutes for a laugh!)
It happens, we know, but sadly if you’re not checked in at the studio door by the start of class, your spot may be given away to someone on the waitlist. Also, to avoid major interruptions to the flow of our classes and to make sure everyone has a proper warm-up, we cannot allow you into a class if you arrive more than 4 minutes late. Life can be cruel like that, but we want to be fair to folks on-time and ready to sweat.
All booking is completed online. We’ll release classes for the following week at 12pm every Monday. You can book in to a class up to 20 minutes before the class starts. If you want to book in after the 20 minutes prior deadline and the class still has space, you can tap-in at the studio door using your RFID band.
If you need to cancel from a class, please cancel online by 6pm the day prior to your scheduled class. If you cancel after 6pm (or do not make it to class), you will still be charged for the class.
Want to speak to a real person?
We’d love to hear from you on the phone, who doesn’t enjoy a casual chat! We sadly do not take bookings/cancellations over the phone or email though – it all needs to go through your account on our website. We’re happy to talk you through the online booking if you have questions, so give us a shout. Or just pop by our studio and a member of staff will happily give you a tutorial on navigation in-person.
Our top range Blade Ion bikes have dual pedals so you can either wear trainers or clip in with your SPDs. Your call. Please bring along your own cycling shoes as we do not have them on offer.
When you book a cycling class, you’ll be able to choose where you want to ride in the studio. Forgetful? Fear not, there will be a list outside the studio if you don’t remember your assigned bike number.
New to cycling?
If you are new, please arrive a little early for your first session and let a member of staff know you need guidance setting up your bike. It’s ok, we’ve all been there. To be honest, some of us are still there – it’s hard to remember which lever does what and how high! Don’t be shy to ask for help.
Tribeca should fit seamlessly into your life, and we’ve tried to make it as convenient as possible to visit us. We have shower facilities available including shampoo, conditioner and body wash or if you’re in a rush, dry shampoo & hair bands for your use. The women’s shower room also has ghd hairdryers and hair straighteners as well. No towels are provided yet (we are working on it!)
But just a general reminder: our amazing instructors are here to motivate/inspire/whatever it is your looking for our of a class, but please listen to your own body as well. Drop to a knee, take off some weights, give yourself that extra breath. Have fun, but listen to your body.
